Hi everyone. Now that I have been almost 1 year into what I think of as pretty heavy duty environmental activism, (3 days a week) here are my thoughts.
I went to the 350 Climate Lobby Day last Friday. It really opened my eyes to a lot of things. The day started out with a 350 meeting to let us all know where we were going and how to talk to our representative and senators. There were a few speakers that were invited to give us some insight on how the voting process works, and how what we were doing was great. Yada yada. The biggest takeaway I had was how much the senators and representatives kept focusing on how they really really want to hear from us! They are sick of listening to the same lobbyists and want to know what we want!

Write them, call them email them. All. The. Time. It does not have to be some well drafted essay on why you want clean air and water, it can be just a couple sentences. ie “I vote. Stop polluting my earth”. Certainly say whatever you want. I am emphasizing how easy it can be. I was intimidated by doing this at first, but this is a great action where you will make a big difference.

Another ECMC hearing tomorrow. The ECMC keeps delaying application approvals. Yay! We still do not have enough say in what is happening. Working on it! New neighborhoods are going up right next to Secret Stash
Taking in all the activity generated from Colorado Climate Lobby Day. I was there, it was interesting and educational.
Working hard on more energy bills showing up.
